You're right, the root nameservers are probably a bad example but each
of those TLD's will have a number of namerservers around the world. If
unbound could be configured to prioritise those nameservers that are
closer (in terms of latency) rather than using some form of
round-robin then any uncached queries would surely benefit from a
improved response time?
